High blood pressure and an elevated heart rate are a part of a "flare-up." I'm in the middle of a flare-up right now and struggling to sleep because I can feel my heart racing, and it's keeping me up.

This was from December, a few months ago, when I woke up from my PFO heart surgery. I wish I'd had on makeup or something, lol.

This is what decompression surgery is. I had this performed on both hips in 2024.

This is a picture of my right hip after the decompression surgery failed me. The necrosis is no longer only at the femoral head, it has spread through the tracks from the surgery and affected more of the hip. This has happened with both hips quickly progressing me from Stage 2 to stage 3 and making hip replacements my only option.

When I was diagnosed with MCTD, I started asking Google every question that came to mind trying to figure out if my symptoms fit the diagnosis. These were my first searches.
